Reference calls that never get returned. CVs nobody can check. ConnectProve replaces them with confirmations from the employer, institution or referee — each one showing who confirmed it and when.
You received a verification request
A current or former employee, student or colleague named you as the person who can confirm a fact about them.
- Open the link in the email. No account and no password. It works once and expires after 14 days.
- Confirm only what your records show. Each detail — employment, title, dates — is a separate tick. Untick anything you cannot confirm.
- Or say it is incorrect. Add a short note. The person is told and can correct it.
- That is all. You are never asked to rate performance or character. Your name, role and email domain are shown to recipients; your email address is not.
Reading a shared profile
- Who verified it. “Verified by employer” means a named person answered from that organisation’s email domain. A personal-email confirmation is labelled as one.
- What exactly. Open any claim to see the fields confirmed and any that were not.
- When, and whether it is current. Current roles need re-confirming after 12 months; references after 24.
- What is not verified. Self-declared claims are marked plainly. Identity is not verified by ConnectProve, and no criminal-record information is available.
A ConnectProve profile is evidence about specific facts. It is not a judgement of the person, and should not be used as a sole basis for a decision about them.
